TUCSON, Ariz. – The Oregon track and field team earned a few more win during the second day of the Willie Williams Classic on Saturday as the Ducks got some early-season work under their belts as well as the first taste of the outdoor season.

Devon Allen finished off what was a great weekend for the dual-sport star. After winning the 200 on Friday, Allen handily won the 110 hurdles on Saturday, running 13.40 into a headwind. He then finished the day by winning the open 100 in a time of 10.36 which ranks 10th on the Oregon all-time list.

The women’s 4x100 team got off to a fast start on Saturday, winning in 43.31. The team of Jasmine Todd, Deajah Stevens, Hannah Cunliffe and Ariana Washington are now tied for second in school history, only four hundredths of a second off the school record. The men’s 4x100 team of Nate Moore, Travonn White, Ben Thiel and Marcus Chambers also finished first, with a time of 40.18.

A pair of middle-distance specialists picked up two more wins for the women’s team. Annie Leblanc added to her victory last night in the 1,500 by winning the 800 on Saturday in 2:04.38. Raevyn Rogers moved down to the 400 where she ran the fifth fastest time in school history (52.30). Rogers was joined by Ashante Horsley who took third in 54.22.

Sophomore Cole Walsh finished on top in the men’s pole vault, clearing 16-4.75 (5.00m).

At the IAAF World Championships, former Ducks Laura Roesler advanced through the women’s 800 semifinals. She will run in the final on Sunday, as will Matthew Centrowitz, who qualified through in the men’s 1,500.

The Ducks will take a break from competition next weekend but will host the second annual Fan Fest at Hayward Field, Saturday, March 26.
