Siblings, California state champions and All-Americans Caleb Foster and Rhesa Foster discuss with DyeStat editor Erik Boal the missed opportunities during a weekend in which Caleb could have been competing for Clovis North at the CIF State Championships in pursuit of consecutive boys team titles along with repeating as individual winner in both the long jump and triple jump, with Rhesa looking to qualify for another NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championship meet at the West Regionals in Kansas. Caleb reveals how an injury has kept him sidelined for most of the year and how he has felt since resuming training. Rhesa revisits graduating early from Oregon, but also shares her decision to return for a fifth year to pursue a Master's degree in prevention science and compete in her final outdoor season in 2021 for the Ducks. Both siblings analyze who is a better technical long jumper among them and share their excitement for competing one year together in collegiate track and field, just like they were teammates for one season at Clovis North, and the possibility of both athletes participating next year at the renovated Hayward Field for the Division 1 outdoor final. Rhesa looks back at winning the long jump state title during her senior year at Clovis North, with Caleb reflecting on not only capturing long jump and triple jump championships last season, but also helping the Broncos win their first boys state team crown.
