Lukas Verzbicas back to racing and winning - Ringling Bridge Run 4 Miler 2013Published by
DistancePreps.com - 19 Jan 2013 Sub 4 miler, 2 time Foot Locker XC Nationals Champion and 2016 Olympic hopeful in the Triathlon, Lukas Verzbicas, laced up his racing shoes for only the 2nd time since his horrific bike crash in Colorado Springs last July. Lukas went 21:02 to win the 2013 Ringling Bridge Run 4 Miler in Sarasota, claiming first overall in the race which was well supported with over 2500 entrants. Erin Jones was the overall female winner in 22:48. Lukas is presently training full time at the National Training Center in Clermont and was invited to attend events dubbed "Meet & Run With 2016 Olympic Hopeful Lukas Verzbicas" as a fundraiser for Danny Duncan's Florida Elite Track Club. Lukas will be giving training tips and offerring advice on what it takes to succeed as an elite athlete.
