EUGENE, Ore. – Eleven prep standouts from around the country and the globe have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Oregon Track and Field program, Head Coach Robert Johnson announced on Friday.
The highly-decorated class is comprised of four state champions, a Junior College All-American and a U.S. Olympic Trials semifinalist. The new crop of Ducks is not only diverse across track and field events, but they also come to Eugene from eight different states around the country and include one international athlete from Kenya. Six members of the class will join the Women of Oregon, while five will become members of the Men of Oregon.
"We are ecstatic to welcome this talented group of athletes to the Duck family," said Johnson. "Our mission as a program is to have a well-rounded and balanced team across the board, and this group will add tremendous depth to the Men and Women of Oregon. I am extremely proud of our coaches who work tirelessly to find the right kids for our program."
