Brodey Hasty chooses OregonPublished by
NXN runner-up Brodey Hasty picks Oregon By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Brodey Hasty of Brentwood TN announced his decision to attend the University of Oregon via his Instagram account. Hasty competed independently of his high school team at Brentwood High School, preferring to stick with coach Guy Avery. The two have had a successful partnership. As a junior, Hasty became the one of just three boys in history to run 8:45 or better for two miles both indoors and outdoors. Hasty won the NXR Southeast regional race for the third consecutive year in November and followed that up with a second-place finish at Nike Cross Nationals. Hasty placed third at NXN in 2016. Hasty spent much of the cross country season ranked No. 1 nationally despite not racing other high school athletes until NXR Southeast. He finished the season ranked No. 2 behind NXN winner Aidan Troutner of Timpview UT, a BYU commit. |
